So that is what I did! Of course, I took a photo first because I know that if Sadie is not sleeping the chances that she will move are at least 99.9% So I have learned not to take chances but definitely to take pictures. And no, she should not be laying on the table, but she is laying on some papers I was working on and trying very hard to let me know she needed some attention at that very moment and she is just cute enough to get away with it!
When I created the drawing video - it ran for 31 minutes! So I knew I had to shorten it and just give you the highlights, but you will see the finished drawing at the end. When we watch an artist like Shoo Rayner, it seems that they can draw very fast and never have to look at anything in order to draw it. But professional artists know that you have to take your time, build up your skills and never compare yourself to other artists. Because Shoo Rayner has done many practice sketches in his lifetime - thousands and thousands of them - his mind and the muscles in his hand have memorized how to draw lots of things really well.
If you have a pet, maybe an adult at home can take a picture of it and then print it out so that you can see it very carefully. Your drawing does not have to be as detailed as mine, but your hand and your mind will learn from the doing and you will begin to see your drawings get better and better! Send me a photo of your drawing if you can and remember if you try leaving a comment, I will get back to you as soon as I can.
